Machinery, equipment and business assets: located, inspected and valued for lenders, attorneys, bankruptcy trustees and corporations. Trusted by a top 5 SBA lender in the U.S.
Professional Valuation Services
A valuation that goes in front of a bankruptcy court, a credit committee or a board gets questioned. Ours are built to be. And when a lender just needs to know the collateral is still there, where it is and what shape it is in, we go find out.
Every Redfield appraisal is prepared to USPAP by a GPPA-designated appraiser and grounded in 25+ years of selling the same kinds of assets at auction. We know what a CNC machining center, a truck fleet or a full production line brings, because we sell them.
A defensible number, from the people who know what buyers actually pay.
Who Leads Your Engagement
Justin Fisher

Graduate Personal Property Appraiser. Civil engineer.
A second-generation auctioneer who reads a plant the way an engineer does and prices it the way the market does.
Redfield Group Auctions is led by Mike Fisher, current President of the National Auction Association.
What We Do
Whatever the client needs to know about the assets, we find out and put it in writing.
Full USPAP compliant appraisal reports on machinery, equipment, fleets and business assets, prepared by GPPA-designated appraisers.
On-site collateral inspections for lenders. We confirm the assets exist, where they are, what condition they are in, and document every piece with photos and serial numbers.
When a full report isn’t required, a fast, market-based opinion of value to support a credit, workout or sale decision.
Top 5
U.S. SBA Lender
One of the five largest SBA lenders in the country sends Redfield to verify its collateral.
Is it still there? Is it where the borrower says it is? Is it running? What is it worth today? We answer all four, on site, and report back.
Who We Work With
Collateral valuations and verification for banks and commercial lenders, including SBA lending. We have helped both lenders and borrowers meet SBA requirements to get business loans closed.
Attorneys, receivers, courts and municipalities. Appraisals, asset verification and the sale of assets for receiverships, business dissolutions and partnership divisions.
Asset valuations for trustees and counsel. We identify, inventory and value the estate’s machinery, equipment and business assets, then stand behind the report.
Plant, fleet and equipment valuations for companies facing a sale, closure, restructuring, partnership division or financing decision that needs a defensible number.
For Legal Professionals
Redfield Group has served attorneys, receiverships, courts and municipalities for 25+ years, with a standing commitment to transparency, fiduciary duty and results. It is not uncommon for us to be one of the few people who actually visit the assets before a recommendation is made.
We have sold assets for courts, receiverships and attorneys, and provided USPAP compliant appraisals for the same clients. We understand our role in settling a case, simple or complex.
From asset verification to a full appraisal to the sale itself: personal property, complete manufacturing facilities and real estate, in over 40 states and internationally.
We take estate matters only at the multimillion-dollar level, where the estate holds substantial real estate or operating companies.
As a member of MarkNet Alliance, we work with service providers across the country and abroad when a matter reaches past our own footprint.
Why Redfield
Our values come from the market, not a price guide. Redfield Group has sold business and industrial assets at auction for 25+ years, so every appraisal is grounded in what buyers actually pay.
Multiple Graduate Personal Property Appraisers on staff, among the few in Alabama.
Reports prepared to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
If the assets need to be sold, the same team that valued them can take them to market.
The Scale We Work At
The market data behind our appraisals comes from projects like these: a complete denim plant in Louisiana, a furniture distribution center in Georgia, corporate truck fleets and machine shops across the Southeast.

What We Appraise
Common Assignments
How an Engagement Works
1
We agree on the assets, the purpose of the valuation and the timeline.
2
We walk the site, identify and inventory the assets.
3
Values are built from real sale results for comparable assets.
4
A written USPAP compliant report you can put in front of a court or a lender.
Scope of practice: We accept appraisal and asset verification engagements from lenders, legal professionals, bankruptcy professionals and corporate clients. We do not appraise real estate, and we do not take household or personal appraisal assignments directly from individuals. Estate matters are accepted only for multimillion-dollar estates with substantial real estate or operating companies. When a full report isn’t required, we also provide valuation opinions for the same clients.
